Data retention

Product evidence is intentionally time-bounded. This page explains what expires automatically, what a user can remove, and what must be kept longer.

Retention at a glance

RecordNormal windowWhat happens
Readiness audit request, report, and evidence7 days from creationPublic and workspace access ends at expiry; cleanup removes the row and dependent evidence.
Completed monitor jobs, scores, findings, and alerts90 daysHistory older than the plan window is removed in bounded cleanup batches.
Queued or running workUntil resolvedKept until it reaches a terminal state or operational recovery closes it.
Private AWT Copilot conversationsUp to 7 days on Free; 90 days on MonitorAnswers expire no later than their source reports or context from the same chat. The same limits apply to system-administrator review and unanswered-question logs; no separate long-lived transcripts are copied. Titles come from retained messages. Empty chats are removed after seven days; other chat IDs and read markers remain only while retained messages exist. Downgrading shortens access and cleanup retention; upgrading does not revive expired content.
AWT Copilot quota reservations and refunds90 daysMetadata only: workspace, user, request ID, creation and refund timestamps. Kept separately from chat text so expiring or deleting a conversation does not reset monthly usage.
Contact and feedback submissionsUp to 365 daysSubject, message, sender and review/delivery status are removed after one year or with deletion of the associated account/workspace. Approval or discard removes a submission from the open inbox without immediately deleting the review record. Copies delivered to administrator email are held under the support mailbox policy.
Account profile, membership, invitations, organization, and site configurationAccount lifetimeKept while needed to provide and secure the workspace, unless deleted or a valid deletion request applies. Expired or revoked invitation links cannot be accepted.
Subscription and billing eventsAs operationally or legally requiredKept separately for subscription state, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

Automated cleanup

A scheduled cleanup removes expired free-audit data and terminal monitoring history outside the plan window. Read APIs also enforce expiry, so an expired report stops being returned even before its row is physically removed by the next cleanup batch.

Deleting or replacing a site

Workspace owners and administrators can remove a verified site after explicit confirmation, provided no scan is queued or running. Removal stops scheduling and deletes that site's monitor jobs, findings, score snapshots, and alerts. Aggregate usage accounting remains, and deleting a site does not cancel an active Paddle subscription.

Data intentionally kept outside product-history retention

Subscription records, raw billing events, and aggregate usage-ledger entries are not governed by the 90-day monitoring window. These records support billing integrity, quota enforcement, auditability, security, and legal obligations. When a related scan is deleted, the usage record can remain without its scan reference.

Provider backups and deletion requests

Deleted information may remain temporarily in restricted provider backups until the provider's normal backup cycle expires.
